WEDDING AT VILLA RIZZARDI, ITALY
Two cultures, two ceremonies and one celebration in Italy. This Persian–Indian destination wedding at Villa Rizzardi brought together different traditions, families and generations in a setting that could hold all of it beautifully.
The day unfolded through two distinct ceremonies, each with its own rituals, colours and atmosphere. Rather than making them feel like separate events, we photographed the wedding as one evolving story — from the formality and symbolism of the ceremonies to the portraits, conversations between guests and the energy that took over later in the celebration.
Multicultural weddings are particularly interesting to photograph because there is never just one layer to pay attention to. Traditions matter, but so do the reactions around them: parents watching, families meeting, guests moving between cultures and the small unscripted moments happening alongside the ceremony itself.
Our approach to wedding photography in Italy moves between documentary observation and considered direction. Portraits can be shaped through light, composition and movement; the moments between people are often strongest when they are simply allowed to happen. At a wedding as visually rich as this one, the aim isn’t to impose another aesthetic on top of it, but to understand what is already there and photograph it with a clear point of view.
Set at Villa Rizzardi in Italy, this celebration is a beautiful example of what makes a destination wedding in Italy so compelling: an extraordinary setting, families arriving from different places, deeply personal traditions and a wedding that could only have belonged to these two people.
